Dr. Robotnik has finally created something that can defeat Super Sonic, and does, knocking him out of his newest DeathEGG model to the planet below. Sonic lands in the water and is quickly washed up to the beach of a strange set of islands. The chaos emeralds are nowhere to be found and the sounds of maniacal laughter can be heard on the wind.
